So I walked home from the train – the end of the day schlep is all uphill, seriously (Yonkers must mean “Big Fucking Mountain” in Algonquin or something), but I feel pretty damn accomplished. It took me about 20 minutes, which means that the mornings will probably take me about 15 (all downhill). I figure I can eventually shave my return trip by at least 5 minutes when my fat ass gets back into shape a little bit – that will give me ~30 minutes of half decent exorcise a day.
When the weather is super shitty, and the world is runing too fast for me, I can still fall back on cabs or some other form of transit. I used to walk a whole hell of a lot though, and don’t so much anymore.
I think I’m going to stick with this.
