i am too busy to reply to everyone right now. i have followed up and am waiting to hear back about the interview. gonna do passport stuff tomorrow. the encouragement was v. touching.

where i get that pipe dream offer and have to figure out what the fuck to do, super fast.
when i created my monster profile, i considered jobs which require big time travel.
this included relocation to europe, central america, mexico, japan, or australia.
i just got an offer by email (pending an interview they want to fly me out for) from this company in vienna. 12 month gig, 220 working days. 65k (50k euros) with a possible 12 month extension. they will sponsor my visa and processing fees, as well as give me 3k euros towards relocation. perks include subsided housing, with access to company real estate if i am hired full time, as well as other benefits (health, life etc).
um, yeah, thy want a LAN/WAN guy with solaris and apache, project management, and working experience with medical scientists and hospital infrastructures.
they have already called me twice since sending the email.
i have to make this call today, if not tomorrow.
