The “subsidised” housing comes out of my salary, and is tied to my contract. That means if I don’t like the place I am living, or the job I am doing, tough shit, I am locked into both for full term. I can opt to not live in the subsidised housing, but that makes real estate negotiations both costly and complicated. They are pretty sneaky about the “220 working days” bit. I have to sign a letter of intent to have them fly me out for the interview (meaning basically, if I go, they make an offer, and I don’t take the job, I pay airfare + lodging =\/.). Assuming they are hiring me, I would then sign a contract for them to go with the visa. From the time I sign the second contract, I am hired. They said that I would have approximately three weeks to a month to relocate, which comes out of my non working day pool. <\/p>\n
Also? Average work week – 70-80 hours.<\/p>\n
I knew this was too good to be true.
