To fly, or not to fly: that is the question:
\nWhether ’tis nobler in the sky to suffer
\nThe winds and rains of cumulus clouds,
\nOr to forsake all the possible risks and troubles,
\nAnd by caution end them. Caution: to fly:
\nNo more; and by caution say we end
\nThe challenge, and the thousand natural dangers
\nThat flying is heir to, ’tis the danger
\nDevoutly to be avoided. Caution, to fly;
\nTo fly: perchance with safety: ay, there’s the rub;
\nFor with that safe flight what dreams may come,
\nWhen we have yet to stall or spin again,
\nMust give us pause: there are the manouveurs
\nThat makes calamity so worthwhile:
\nFor who should bear the risks and perils of flight,
\nThe aggressive thermal, the powerful wind shear,
\nThe pang of damaged plane, the law’s restraint,
\nThe insolence of controllers, and the many dignitaries
\nThat merit patience from the hurried pilot,
\nWhen that same pilot may make his release
\nBy never flying again? Who would bear these trials,
\nTo curse and swear under a dreary sky,
\nBut that the boredom of something after flying,
\nThe undiscover’d country from whose bourn
\nNo flying skills return, searches the soul,
\nAnd makes us rather bear those risks we have
\nThan walk to others that we know not of?
\nAnd thus the glory of a dawn flight
\nIs sickled o’er with the pale cast of fog,
\nAnd flights involving geat pitch and roll and yaw
\nAre by this inclement weather delay’d
